According to the always reliable source for Apple-related supply chain information, Ming-Chi Kuo, things are far from good for the Vision Pro glasses at the moment.
Kuo states that Apple has lowered its shipment estimates (and thus production orders) for the whole year to 400,000 to 450,000 units, compared to the “market consensus” ranging from 700,000 to 800,000 units or more.
Apple did so ahead of the glasses’ launch in markets outside the United States, meaning that demand in the U.S. has sharply fallen below the company’s initial expectations.

Consequently, affected by the declining demand in the United States, Apple adopts a cautious outlook for demand in other markets, where Vision Pro is scheduled to launch later this year.
It seems Vision Pro got its 15 minutes of fame, as they say, then faded into obscurity as the novelty wore off.
It is also alleged that Apple is reviewing and adjusting its future release roadmap, which means there might not be a new Vision Pro model in 2025.
Moreover, Apple now expects Vision Pro shipments to decline in 2025 compared to 2024.
