Last month, we learned that the manufacturer of cases known as Thinborne has listed four new Pixel cases, three of which are designed for the upcoming Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL phones.
The fourth case pertains to the successor of the Pixel Fold, which some speculate will be named the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
The second Pixel foldable phone announcement may coincide with the rest of the Pixel lineup sometime in October, potentially unveiling some significant news.
The main Pixel Fold phone was launched last year ahead of the Pixel 8 series, meaning that by June, Pixel Fold was restricted to using the Tensor G2 application processor (AP) since the Tensor G3 wouldn’t be released until the Pixel 8 series was announced.
If rumors hold and the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is released in October, it could share the same AP as the Pixel 9 series and be equipped with Tensor G4, marking a significant leap from the Tensor G2 chips powering the original foldable Pixel.
