The YouTube Music website now supports offline downloads for songs and podcasts, aligning with mobile app capabilities. This feature first appeared in February and will be rolled out more widely after a month.

You’ll see a “New! Download music to listen offline” option next to the “Library” tab in the sidebar.

Downloads on the web will count toward the allowed limit of 10 devices, so keep that in mind.

In Settings > Downloads, you can clear everything you’ve saved. On an album/page, you’ll find a familiar download button between “Save to library” and the three-dot menu at the top. A “Downloading…” indicator will appear in the bottom-left corner to track progress.

Afterward, you’ll have a new Downloads tab on the library page. Filters let you browse playlists, podcasts, songs, and albums.

Google’s browser will now display “No Internet connection” with a banner below the playback bar when offline.

YouTube Music notes how “downloads remain available as long as your device has an active internet connection at least once every 30 days.”
