You Can Now Hum Your Favorite Song to Search for It on YouTube Music

Recently, YouTube Music has enabled users to hum the tune of a song to find it. This feature has been available on Google Assistant since 2020 and is similar to a Shazam feature.

Interestingly, this feature is not entirely new, as Google has been testing it with select users since 2023.

To use the feature, go to the YouTube Music search bar and tap the soundwave icon next to the microphone.

You can then hum the tune that comes to mind, and YouTube Music will suggest songs with a similar rhythm.

However, the downside of this feature is that it does not provide various song suggestions like Google Assistant, which shows the similarity percentage between the hummed tune and the suggested songs. This means you need to hum accurately to get the best results.
