Leaks about Vivo’s foldable horizontal phone have been circulating, but until now, no details about the launch date have been revealed.

Now, the Weibo leaker Panda is Bald shared preliminary information suggesting that the new release will arrive by the end of March.

The leaker highlights the period from March 26th to 28th (Tuesday to Thursday in the last week of the month) as a potential launch event date.

This event will be dedicated to the Vivo X Fold3 and the new Pro version. For reference, the X Fold2 was unveiled on April 20th last year, so this is a month ahead of the specified date.

Vivo X Fold3 and X Fold3 Pro Phones Set to Be Unveiled by the End of March

A report released a few days ago indicates that the Vivo X Fold3 Pro will become the first foldable phone equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, while the standard X Fold3 will use the older Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.

However, a different report suggests that so far, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 will be announced for the Pro device and the Dimensity 9300 for the standard version.

It is very likely that both reports are accurate, as Vivo has used different chips for Chinese and international versions of phones in the past.

The standard Vivo X Fold3 phone is said to feature a triple camera setup with a 50-megapixel main, ultra-wide, and 2x telephoto lens. Meanwhile, the Pro version is rumored to upgrade the third unit to a 64-megapixel periscope lens (focal length unknown).

The Pro version is expected to feature 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, in line with the X Fold2.

The Pro model is expected to be dust and water-resistant, a first for Vivo’s foldable devices.
