Apple is gearing up to launch a new generation of chips, and the latest reports reveal that the upcoming A18 Pro chip will feature integrated artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
The latest reports from Apple’s supply chains indicate that the upcoming A18 Pro chip will come in a larger template compared to the previous A17 Pro chip, offering improved computing power to support AI capabilities.
A report published by “Jeff Pu” suggests that the A18 Pro chip will support AI feature processing within devices, similar to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip that supports Android phones.

The additional space in the chip template can support increased transistor counts or specialized components for AI technology, akin to a neural engine chip.
Moreover, the integrated AI technology in the A18 Pro chip is expected to support this year’s versions of iPhone devices, aiming to deliver performance closer to Google’s Gemini AI technology, which Apple is currently seeking to license.
It’s worth noting that the integrated AI performance comes with the Pro version of the A18 chip, while this feature is absent in the main A18 version.
The entire iPhone 16 series is expected to come with A18 chips, with the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max featuring the A18 Pro chip, while the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus versions will have the A18 chip.
