Leaks continue to reveal more details about Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 phones, and a new report has confirmed that these models will not feature the Exynos 2400 processor.

Samsung will support the next generation of its foldable phones exclusively with Snapdragon processors, according to a recent report from The Elec, which stated that Samsung will not offer Exynos chipset versions of the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 phones.

Although Samsung has made improvements in the performance and power efficiency of the latest Exynos processors, historically, Exynos processors have not performed as well as Snapdragon processors.

Samsung Will Not Equip Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 Phones with Exynos 2400 Processor

In recent generations, Samsung’s Exynos processors have managed to compete with Qualcomm’s chips, and reports indicate that the upcoming Exynos 2500 processor is expected to outperform the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 in terms of power efficiency.

Samsung is set to introduce the Exynos 2500 processor in the upcoming S25 series, while the sixth generation of its foldable phones will be powered solely by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.

It is believed that the current Exynos 2400 processor did not meet the required standards to serve as a Qualcomm replacement, particularly in terms of power efficiency. Therefore, Samsung has decided to continue its partnership with Qualcomm for the next generation of its foldable phones.
