Samsung Plans to Launch Three Models of Galaxy Watch 7 with Larger Storage Capacity

The Korean giant is gearing up to launch a new generation of smartwatches, with the latest reports unveiling Samsung’s plans to release three models of the Galaxy Watch 7 smartwatch, along with Samsung’s intention to double the storage capacity in the smartwatch.

A report published on “SamMobile” recently revealed some details about the upcoming Galaxy Watch 7, which comes with significant changes compared to Samsung’s previous versions.

Some previous leaks confirmed that Samsung will support the new generation of smartwatches with the Exynos W940 processor.

Meanwhile, the new report confirms that Samsung plans to push three models of the Galaxy Watch 7 smartwatch, with expectations of a new change in the naming of the smartwatches. However, the leaks did not reveal the branding of Samsung’s upcoming releases.

On another note, leaks indicated that the upcoming Galaxy Watch 7 models from Samsung are registered under model numbers SM-L300 and SM-L305, while the mid-range version is registered under model numbers SM-L310 and SM-L315.

Additionally, the top model of the Galaxy Watch 7 smartwatch is expected to come with model numbers SM-L700 and SM-L705, and it is expected that the model ending with number 5 will support cellular networks and eSIM.

The “SamMobile” report also confirmed that the Korean giant is preparing to double the storage capacity in the upcoming versions of the smartwatches. The Galaxy Watch 7 will come with a storage capacity of 32 gigabytes compared to 16 gigabytes in the previous version.

The additional capacity is expected to provide users with better flexibility in downloading apps and watching faces or playing music offline.

It is worth mentioning that Samsung plans to support the Galaxy Watch 7 with Wear OS 5 interface based on the Android 14 operating system.
