The Korean giant has started gearing up to launch a new generation of foldable phones, with previous leaks confirming that Samsung is holding an event in July to officially announce the Galaxy Z Fold6 phone. Leaks also suggests that Samsung will introduce a foldable phone at a lower cost in this year’s lineup.
Today, the latest leaks reveal the expected price of Samsung’s anticipated lower-cost phone, indicating that the phone will come at a price of less than $800, which is less than half the price of the flagship model Fold5.
On the other hand, details from Korea suggest that the distinctive lower-cost Fold6 phone will feature a rear camera similar to the current Samsung Fold5 phone. Leaks also indicate that Samsung will rely on the same suppliers in producing the phone configurations.
It’s worth noting that Huawei is gearing up to compete strongly in the foldable phone market in the coming period, so Samsung is expected to expand in this market with a distinctive model at a lower price level to attract a larger segment of users.
