Samsung has confirmed its plans to push the OneUI 6.1 update to a new set of its phones at the beginning of May, with the update bringing the new Galaxy AI smart interface.

The Korean giant will soon offer the new update of the OneUI 6.1 user interface for the 2021 and 2022 versions of its phones and devices, with the update expected to reach users in May, including the Galaxy S22 series.

In addition to the Galaxy S22 series, Samsung is offering the OneUI 6.1 update to users of the Z Fold4, Flip4 phones, and the Tab S8 tablet series, along with the Galaxy S23 FE phone.

On the other hand, Samsung will not support the Galaxy S21 series and its foldable phones introduced in 2021 with all the artificial intelligence features provided for current versions.

Details provided by Samsung employees have identified the versions slated for updates, including the Galaxy S22, S22 Plus, S22 Ultra, Z Fold4, Z Flip4, Tab S8, Tab S8 Plus, and also the Tab S8 Ultra.

Samsung supports these versions with artificial intelligence features, including AI-powered photo editing, live translation, summaries, and also a circular search feature.

While the Galaxy S21, S21 Plus, S21 Ultra, Z Flip3, and Z Fold3 phones support a limited number of artificial intelligence features, including circular search and the “Magic Rewrite” feature, the number of units expected to receive the OneUI 6.1 interface update is estimated to be 200 million units.
