Samsung Begins Rolling Out One UI 6.1 Update for Older Galaxy Devices by End of March

Samsung has set the end of March for rolling out the One UI 6.1 update to previous versions of Galaxy phones and devices.

The Galaxy S24 series was the first lineup introduced by Samsung with the features of the AI-driven Galaxy AI through the One UI 6.1 version of the user interface based on the Android 14 operating system.

Samsung has confirmed pushing the AI features update to several older company releases in March, and today the Korean giant officially confirms its plans to roll out the One UI 6.1 update for older Galaxy devices by the end of this month.

The list of devices scheduled to receive the One UI 6.1 update by the end of March includes:

  • Galaxy S23
  • Galaxy S23 Plus
  • Galaxy S23 Ultra
  • Galaxy S23 FE
  • Galaxy Z Flip 5
  • Galaxy Z Fold 5
  • Galaxy Tab S9
  • Galaxy Tab S9 Plus
  • Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra

These versions are expected to receive AI-driven Galaxy AI features through this update, which includes the following features:

  • Search Circle: This feature allows placing a circle on an object or place on the screen to initiate a search for information about the search topic directly.
  • Editing Feature: The editing feature relies on AI to assist users in removing elements from images and readjusting images.
  • Live Translation: AI in One UI 6.1 supports live voice call translation in real-time in communication apps that support this feature.
  • Digital Assistant in Samsung Notes app: This digital assistant aids users in summarizing notes and texts within the app, with support for reformatting notes for a smooth revisiting experience later.
