Pushing Android updates to smartphones often takes a long time, but Qualcomm aims to bring about a change that supports the seamless and quick deployment of new updates to users.

Typically, Android updates are rolled out faster to flagship or higher-end mid-range phones than mid-range or budget phones.

Qualcomm emphasizes that supporting new Android smartphone updates largely depends on the chip manufacturer that powers these phones. The chipset manufacturer must first help with the latest update in the processing unit.

Lower-cost phones often lose support sooner compared to flagship or higher-end mid-range phones. Additionally, monthly security updates are generally available through a limited number of major smartphone manufacturers.

Qualcomm has confirmed that it will work in the upcoming period to facilitate the update process for manufacturers. Chris Patrick, the head of Qualcomm, stated that the company is preparing to announce soon how it plans to address this issue. Details will be revealed during the “Snapdragon Summit” scheduled for October.
