Krafton, the developer of PUBG Mobile, has announced that the popular Battle Royale game will soon receive a 120 frames per second (FPS) mode.

This new mode will be available in the upcoming version 3.2 update, providing players with a smoother and more responsive gaming experience.

Previously, PUBG Mobile offered a maximum of 90 FPS for a smoother experience. Now, the boundaries of mobile gaming will be pushed further with the introduction of a 120 FPS refresh rate.

However, there is no official confirmation yet on whether this feature will be available for both Android and iOS devices.

PUBG Mobile to Get 120 FPS Mode with Upcoming Update

It’s likely that the 120 FPS mode will be optimized for high-end and mid-range smartphones due to the demanding nature of displaying the game at higher frame rates.

Entry-level devices may struggle to maintain consistent performance at 120 FPS, even with low graphics settings.

Most entry-level devices do not even support 90 FPS until now.

The news also extends to BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India), the Indian version of PUBG Mobile. BGMI is also expected to receive the 120 FPS treatment in the coming days, aligning with the global version.

For the 120 FPS mode to truly shine, smartphone manufacturers will also need to optimize their devices to fully leverage this feature.

However, users with the latest flagship smartphones equipped with powerful processors like Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 are expected to enjoy the 120 FPS mode without issues. Similarly, iPhones with 120Hz screens are also likely to support the new mode.
