PS5 Update Will Allow You to Invite People to Multiplayer Games via Smartphone Apps

Sony has announced an exciting feature coming to the PS5 console that will streamline the entire process of inviting people to multiplayer games.

The new tool will allow you to invite people to a game even when they are not on the gaming console or using the PlayStation app.

The system will generate a link through the app, which can be shared anywhere online. When the recipient clicks on the link, they will be able to join the multiplayer gaming session.

The tool will also create a quick response (QR) code along with the link, a feature already familiar to PS5 owners when it comes to multiplayer games.

This feature will only be available later in the year and is tailored for PS5 games only. Sony also warns that some titles may require an update before everything runs smoothly.

Of course, most PS5 games require a PlayStation Plus subscription to use multiplayer features, and the prices of these subscriptions increased last year.
