The Reno12 series of smartphones is described as the best device for bringing mobile AI to the mainstream in 2024.

OPPO has confirmed that the Reno12 lineup will use its latest MediaTek platforms to deliver a range of desired AI features to the Indian market. This includes AI Eraser 2.0 and AI Best Face, equivalent to Magic Eraser and Best Take, respectively, from other manufacturers.

The Reno12, and possibly the 12 Pro, will also support AI Studio, allowing users to transform selfies into custom avatars. Additionally, AI Clear Face should be capable of rendering realistic details for each face in a group shot.

The devices are also rated to handle productivity-friendly features such as AI Speak for dictation and AI Summary to help study a topic, thanks to the integration of Google Gemini Assistant.

The Reno12 series will also feature new 50MP primary cameras and 80W wired charging, with a slightly older design upon their release, which has yet to be determined by OPPO’s exclusive launch partner, Flipkart.
