Qualcomm is set to hold its upcoming conference in October to unveil the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip, and the latest leaks have brought new details about the performance of Qualcomm’s upcoming chip.

The new leaks, posted on the Weibo platform, indicate that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip will debut for the first time in mid-October in the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro phones.

Furthermore, details shared on the “Digital Chat Station” Weibo platform suggest that Qualcomm’s teaser hints that the Xiaomi 15 series will be the first to feature the 8 Gen 4 processor, launching initially in the Chinese market.

Leaks from the Geekbench 6 platform have revealed the performance of early models of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor, featuring 2 performance cores clocked at up to 4.0 GHz, scoring 2700 points in single-core tests, which is impressive but did not surpass an Apple chip.

Expectations suggest that the chip will support even higher scores in multi-core tests, up to 10,000 points, competing closely with Apple’s chip. However, Qualcomm faces another competitor in MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9400 chip.
