MSI Unveils New Gaming Monitor with 4K Resolution and 160Hz Refresh Rate

MSI has revealed the MSI MPG 274URF QD gaming monitor, which boasts a 4K resolution and a 160Hz refresh rate.

The new gaming monitor from MSI features IPS technology and a 4K display quality of 3840 x 2160 pixels. The monitor supports a 160Hz refresh rate and has a 16:9 aspect ratio. It also boasts a quick response time of 0.5 milliseconds GtG to reduce motion blur during fast-paced gaming for a smoother experience.

The company also supports the MPG 274URF QD monitor with Quantum Dot backlighting technology, which supports a wide color gamut of 145% of the sRGB standard to produce more realistic and vibrant colors compared to traditional monitors.

Additionally, the monitor supports 10-bit color depth, a contrast ratio of 1000:1, VESA DisplayHDR 400 standards, and a brightness level of 400 nits to enhance the visual experience.

For connectivity, the MPG 274URF QD monitor comes with a USB-C port capable of delivering up to 65W power for charging computers or other devices. It also includes a DisplayPort 1.4 port and two HDMI 2.1 ports for connecting computers or gaming platforms.

The monitor also features a headphone jack, a USB hub base with two USB-A ports, and an upstream USB-B port for software updates or accessory connections.

Furthermore, the monitor integrates with NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync technologies to support variable refresh rates and smooth frame transitions, reducing screen tearing for an immersive gaming experience.

The monitor also comes with MSI’s smart gaming features, known as “MSI G.I,” which allows users to adjust monitor settings using keyboard shortcuts, switch between gaming performance profiles, and support Mystic Light RGB lighting.
