Apple introduced macOS 15 during the WWDC event today, titled “Sequoia,” which will officially launch to users this fall. This update features the ability to mirror iPhone notifications and content directly onto the user’s Mac screen.

macOS Sequoia brings several features aimed at enhancing user experience, primarily by supporting better integration with the iPhone. This includes full-screen mirroring of the iPhone on the Mac, a new password app, and improvements in the Safari browser.

The update also integrates Apple’s new AI features into macOS Sequoia, with writing tools now functioning at a system-wide level, including in apps like Mail, Notes, Pages, and third-party applications.

These AI-driven writing features in the update can assist with rewriting text, grammar checks, and summarizing content.

Sequoia also introduces a tool for creating images, allowing users to generate fun pictures in various styles, including animations, illustrations, and general graphics.

These AI features come in a standalone Apple app and are integrated into the main Apple applications. Additionally, the update includes a writing feature for the Siri digital assistant, allowing users to switch between voice and text conversations.

Apple will also let users choose the ChatGPT chatbot, which will send your content to the OpenAI platform to execute the requested actions.

Furthermore, macOS Sequoia will support receiving notifications from a nearby iPhone while keeping the iPhone screen off in standby mode.

The macOS Sequoia update includes a new tool for organizing tab windows that is similar to Windows’s system. Users can drag an app to the edge of the screen, prompting the system to suggest where to place the app. Users can arrange tab windows side-by-side or reposition them in the corners, with macOS Sequoia offering keyboard shortcuts for convenience.
