TCL has launched a new television in the market, the C855, which will be available optionally in different sizes ranging from 65, 75, 85 to 98 inches.

Each model is equipped with a QD mini LED panel, which is likely to feature high brightness and high contrast ratio.

The number of dimming zones varies depending on the size, reportedly reaching up to 2304 zones, with the 85-inch model offering most dimming zones.

The maximum brightness is 3500 nits/m², indicating peak brightness only and not uniform across the entire screen. Typical brightness is given as 650 nits/m².

Mini LED technology should also ensure optimal display of picture content with a wide contrast range. HDR10+ Adaptive is supported, which adjusts brightness according to ambient light.

The DCI-P3 color space is said to be covered by 97%, while color accuracy or color deviation, known as Delta E value, is less than 1.

According to TCL, the panel is supposed to last 100,000 hours without brightness degradation, meaning it will not deteriorate quickly.

A 2.2.2 sound system with an output of up to 120 watts is installed, with support for DTS Virtual:X and Dolby Atmos.

Finally, the C855 also offers AALM, VRR, and AMD FreeSync Premium, along with a refresh rate of 144 Hz, meaning the C855 is likely to be suitable for gamers with few or no restrictions.

The TVs are expected to be available for sale soon, but prices are still unknown.
