Huawei has been spotted registering the PSD-AL00 as an upcoming device certified by 3C in China. According to a leak from Digital Chat Station, it is a new smartphone, although it is unlikely to be aimed at the high-end market.

It features the same 66W Huawei SuperCharge technology that debuted with the Mate 40 series in 2020. Fewer premium devices have since adopted it, one of the latest being the Nova 12 Lite.

This device was the only 4G/LTE-only variant in its mid-range series. At the same time, its Pro and Ultra siblings benefited from specs like faster 100W charging and rear cameras with variable apertures.

However, while the PSD-AL00 might be the Nova 13 Lite, as this new leak suggests, it could have an edge over its predecessor.

The phone is believed to ditch the Snapdragon 778G processor for a 5G Kirin processor in 2024, joining the rest of its series 13 siblings in this regard.

Therefore, this new leak suggests that Huawei intends to revive its in-house chip line. It also indicates that the manufacturer has yet to launch the Nova series internationally in 2024.
