HP Launches HP OmniBook X AI and HP EliteBook Ultra AI at Microsoft's #Build 2024 Event

HP has joined the ranks of manufacturers focusing on AI technology with its new releases, the HP OmniBook X AI and HP EliteBook Ultra AI, aimed at simplifying the user experience.

The new models, launched under the OmniBook brand along with EliteBook and ProBook, are designed to provide a seamless and straightforward experience for users identifying AI-supported devices.

Among the new devices, the HP OmniBook X AI stands out with its elegant white design, featuring Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite processors. This model differentiates itself from traditional HP devices with its Neural Processing Unit (NPU), capable of handling over 40 trillion operations per second.

Both the OmniBook X AI and EliteBook Ultra AI are equipped with the Snapdragon X Elite processor, which includes 12 cores and a 45 TOPS NPU. These devices are built to support users for years to come, thanks to advancements in AI technology.

AI features in these devices include access to the ChatGPT-3.5 platform via the integrated AI Companion software. The AI technology also enhances performance, with the Poly Camera Pro app pre-installed, offering AI-based tools for camera use, such as background blur enhancement, filters, and auto-framing.

The Poly Camera Pro app is compatible with any webcam and supports AI features in Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet.

The OmniBook X AI and EliteBook Ultra AI boast expected high-end specifications, featuring ultra-thin designs at 0.55 inches thick and a lightweight build of 1.35 kg. Both devices include a webcam shutter, 16 GB of RAM, and a 14-inch touch display with a resolution of 2240 x 1400 pixels. The OmniBook offers up to 32 GB of RAM, while the top EliteBook model includes 16 GB of RAM.

HP claims these new devices are 17% faster than similarly specified MacBook Pros. Both HP and MacBook Pro models feature a small fan design for processor cooling.

The new HP models promise over 22 hours of battery life or 20 days in standby mode. The OmniBook X AI starts at $1,200 for the 1 TB model and will be available on June 18. The EliteBook Ultra AI will also be available on the same day, starting at $1,700.
