Honor has entered the foldable smartphone market with its inaugural model, the Honor Magic V Flip.

The Honor Magic V Flip features an external LTPO OLED display measuring 4 inches, boasting a display resolution of 1092 by 1200 pixels. The screen supports a pixel density of 405 pixels per inch and a refresh rate of 120Hz, with peak brightness reaching up to 1600 nits and a 2160Hz dimming feature.

The screen adopts a 16:9 aspect ratio that supports content separation on the screen, horizontally splitting app content. Additionally, the display supports an Always on Display mode, displaying apps in full screen. Honor introduces technology to expand apps when transitioning from the cover screen to the inner screen.

On the other hand, the internal LTPO OLED screen measures 6.8 inches with FHD+ resolution and a 21:9 aspect ratio. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and reaches a brightness of 3000 nits, covering 92% of the BT.2020 color gamut and also supporting Dolby Vision standards.

The Magic V Flip folds completely flat with a thickness of 14.89mm when folded and 7.5mm when unfolded. Honor has developed a new hinge mechanism featuring lightweight steel chips and an aluminum frame.

The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor powers the phone and comes with 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage in the top model, while the main model features 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

Additionally, the Magic V Flip includes a cooling system with a 0.25mm VC panel and 2300mm liquid cooling. It runs on MagicOS 8.0, based on Android 14.

In terms of camera setup, the phone features a 50-megapixel Sony IMX906 main sensor with a 1/1.56 sensor size and f/1.9 aperture, supporting optical stabilization.

The secondary sensor has 12 megapixels with ultra-wide-angle views and macro capabilities, and the phone also has a 50-megapixel selfie camera.

The device is equipped with a 4800mAh battery supporting 66W fast charging. It is available in white, black, pink, and a special Crystal Green variant. The main model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at $690.
