Google Raises Workspace Prices This Week for Existing Business Customers

Google announced early last year that Workspace plans would see price increases in 2024, and this month, those price hikes are now arriving for existing customers.

In March 2023, Google announced pricing changes for Workspace plans. All Business tier plans will see price increases by 20%.

The Starter plan has increased from $6 to $7.20, the Standard plan from $12 to $14.40, and the Plus plan from $18 to $21.60.

The increases went into effect last year for new accounts and only for those without an annual plan, but they’re being rolled out this month for current Workspace subscribers.

Users will see the new prices reflected in their first billing cycle after this week. Dates of February 14, 15, and 16 were mentioned in all the notices we’ve seen.

Customers were reminded of the price hikes during the past month leading up to this week’s arrival. Alongside the Business tier price hikes, the Google Workspace platform is also working on raising Enterprise plan prices.

Administrators were also notified of these price changes in advance throughout 2023, but actual price changes were not included at that time. These price increases are now detailed through Workspace admin pages.

Google sells Enterprise Workspace accounts directly to businesses through sales representatives rather than using traditional subscription methods. So, for each organization, these prices can vary significantly based on needs, user counts, and many other factors.

These price increases go into effect during February 2024, but they vary per account.
