DJI Confirms Plans to Launch Avata 2 Drone and Goggles 3 on April 11

DJI shared a teaser announcement today confirming its plans to launch the Avata 2 drone and Goggles 3 headset at an event scheduled for April 11.

All eyes are on DJI in anticipation of the company’s latest releases in drone technology, particularly under the “Avatar 2” brand. Additionally, the company will unveil the DJI Goggles 3 during the event.

The upcoming DJI Avata 2 drone is equipped with a 48-megapixel CMOS sensor with a size of 1/1.3 inches and an F/2.8 aperture lens. The camera features a 12.7mm focal length and offers a wide 155-degree field of view for capturing wide-angle shots.

The camera can record video in 4K/2.7K resolution and capture fast-moving images at 60 to 120 frames per second. It also supports slow-motion video recording at 1080p resolution at 240 frames per second. The camera incorporates stabilization technologies like RockSteady 3.0 Plus, HorizonSteady, and HorizonBalancing to ensure stable footage and reduce vibrations in various shooting conditions.

The Avata 2 drone boasts a compact design, weighing 458 grams and measuring 180 x 216 x 82mm. The Traverse joystick mode provides up to 27 minutes of control time, while the “FPV” mode offers flight times ranging from 12 to 15 minutes.

Additionally, DJI will introduce the DJI Goggles 3 during the event, offering users clear vision with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution screen. The goggles will support a display resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and feature OcuSync 4.0 technology for seamless image transmission. The goggles weigh 420 grams and come with a 2450mAh battery capacity.
