Recent leaks have revealed details about MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9400 chipset, based on TSMC’s 3nm manufacturing process.

A new report from “Digital Chat Station” confirms that MediaTek is preparing to launch a new high-end chipset under the Dimensity 9400 brand. According to the report, this release is scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year.

The Dimensity 9400, identified by model MT6991, will utilize TSMC’s second-generation 3nm manufacturing process with N3E technology.

The leaks indicate that the Dimensity 9400 will offer a 34% reduction in power consumption and feature the same large cores as the previous version.

The chipset will include Cortex-X5 cores clocked at 3.4 GHz, with expectations that the final version may enhance core speeds further.

Furthermore, the Dimensity 9400 will comprise three Cortex-X4 cores and four Cortex-A720 cores. The chipset has been spotted on Geekbench, and initial tests show competitive performance against Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 in both CPU and GPU capabilities.
