Dell Unveils Five New Qualcomm-Powered Computers at #Build 2024

During the Microsoft Build 2024 conference, Dell introduced five new devices featuring Qualcomm processors, including the XPS 13 (9345), Inspiron 14, Inspiron 14 Plus, Latitude 7455, and Latitude 5455.

Dell had the most extensive lineup announced at the conference. The XPS 13 is powered by the Snapdragon X Elite processor with 12 cores and dual-core enhancement, while a version with the X Plus processor featuring 10 cores will be available in the Chinese market.

The XPS 13 offers up to 64 GB of RAM and up to 2 TB of PCIe SSD storage, with a future option for 4 TB.

The XPS 13 comes with three display options, all 13.4 inches. The first option features a 500-nit brightness, 1920 x 1200 resolution, IPS panel without touch support, and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The second option provides a 500-nit brightness, 2560 x 1600 resolution, IPS panel with touch support, HDR, and a 120Hz refresh rate. The final option offers an OLED touch display with 400-nit brightness, 2880 x 1800 resolution, a 60Hz refresh rate, and HDR support.

All models include a 1080p webcam supporting Windows Hello, USB4 Type-C ports, DisplayPort 2.1, and Power Delivery.

The OLED model is slightly thinner at 0.58 inches, compared to 0.60 inches for the IPS models, and all three weigh 1.18 kg.

Dell also introduced the Latitude 7455, available with either the Snapdragon X Elite or X Plus processors. It features 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of M.2 2230 SSD storage.

This model includes two USB4 Type-C ports, a USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 port, a microSD card slot, an audio jack, a 1080p webcam supporting Windows Hello, an optional fingerprint sensor, and an extra uSIM slot for 5G connectivity.

The Latitude 7455 comes with a 14-inch IPS touch display with a 2650 x 1600 resolution. The device has a thickness of 0.67 inches and weighs 1.44 kg.

The Dell Inspiron 14 Plus (7441) is powered by the Snapdragon X Plus processor with 10 cores. It includes 16 GB of RAM and storage options of 512 GB or 1 TB M.2 SSD.

This model features a 14-inch IPS touch display with a 2560 x 1600 resolution, a 1080p webcam supporting Windows Hello, two USB4 Type-C ports, a USB-A 3.2 port, a microSD card reader, and an audio jack. It weighs 1.44 kg and is 0.58 inches thick.

The XPS 13 and Inspiron 14 Plus are available for pre-order today. The XPS 13 starts at approximately $1,300, while the Inspiron 14 Plus starts at around $1,099.
