Chromebook devices add charging sounds.. but you'll have to enable it manually

It turns out Google was adding charging sounds to the ChromeOS system in late 2022, and it seems this feature is now available on Chromebook devices.

According to Google, charging sounds were added to Chromebook devices in September 2023. This was supposed to coincide with the release of ChromeOS 117 and major redesigns.

You can enable the feature from the Settings app > Device > Sound where there are individual toggle switches for startup, charging, and low battery sounds.

While enabling it for new users, charging sounds are disabled by default for existing users.
