Craig Federighi hinted during Apple’s 2024 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) that Apple may integrate Google’s Gemini AI platform into iOS in the future.

During the developers’ conference, Apple confirmed the integration of the GPT-4o language model, which supports ChatGPT, into iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia. This integration is possible due to Apple’s partnership with OpenAI, which was announced during the event.

Craig Federighi, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Software Engineering, made remarks after the keynote speech, suggesting a potential collaboration between Google and Apple to bring the Gemini AI platform into iOS.

Gemini AI features extensive language models embedded in Google’s systems and services. Federighi highlighted Apple’s plans to support developers with their preferred language models in AI technology, indicating that the company may incorporate Google Gemini into its systems.
