Apple Begins Development of a New Generation of Apple AirTag Devices

A new report confirms that Apple has started developing a new generation of Apple AirTag devices, with expectations for this release in 2025.

Analyst Mark Gurman explained in a report published in Bloomberg that Apple has begun developing a new version of the tracking devices, Apple AirTag, which is identified with the code “B589.” This release follows the tracking device that was launched in 2021.

Gurman confirmed that the new AirTag version will feature a stronger chip to improve the device’s performance in accurately determining location.

The details in this report align with previous information from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who indicated that Apple will present a new generation of AirTag devices in 2025 during the event scheduled to reveal the new generation of Vision Pro glasses.

Additionally, analyst Gurman revealed some of the expected features to be added in the new generation of Apple’s tracking devices, including a higher-performance speaker, longer battery life, and a competitive price for users.
