Announcement of ViewSonic VX2781-4K-PRO-6 Monitor with 4K Resolution and 165Hz Refresh Rate

ViewSonic has introduced the VX2781-4K-PRO-6 monitor, a 27-inch gaming monitor that is considered the next release after last month’s XG272-2K-OLED edition.

While the latter features a 2.5K OLED panel and 240Hz refresh rate, the VX2781-4K-PRO-6 is said to be of the 4K IGZO (Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide) type with an IPS panel boasting a 165Hz refresh rate.

According to the ViewSonic product page, the VX2781-4K-PRO-6 model offers a typical peak brightness of 350 nits with a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and a DCI-P3 color space coverage of 98%.

Additionally, the monitor is VESA DisplayHDR 600 certified and provides 1-millisecond GtG (gray-to-gray) response times.

Furthermore, ViewSonic has included support for AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA G-SYNC to reduce image tearing when using AMD and NVIDIA graphics cards.

The VX2781-4K-PRO-6 comes equipped with several ports. On one hand, the monitor features six USB ports split between three Type-A ports, two Type-C ports providing 15 watts and 96 watts of power, respectively, and one Type-B USB port.

On the other hand, ViewSonic has equipped the VX2781-4K-PRO-6 with one DisplayPort 1.4 connector and two HDMI 2.1 ports.

As a result, the monitor can output 4K resolution and 165Hz through any of its video inputs, including its dedicated Type-C ports.

Unfortunately, pricing and availability have not been disclosed at this time.
