On the other hand, AMD did not disclose the naming mechanism of the previous processors, which were divided between the “H” and “U” processor series.

The Ryzen AI 9 370 HX processor features 12 cores and 24 threads, with a base speed of 2.0 GHz and a boost clock speed of up to 5.1 GHz. It has a power range of 15-54 W, a 36MB cache, and includes the Radeon 890M graphics card based on RDNA 3.5 architecture with 16 compute units, boosting up to 2.9 GHz.

Meanwhile, the Ryzen AI 9 365 processor comes with ten cores, 24 threads, and a boost clock speed of up to 5.0 GHz. It includes the integrated Radeon 880M graphics card with 12 compute units.

Both processors are based on a 4-nanometer manufacturing process by TSMC with the new Zen 5 platform. AMD emphasizes that the “Strix Point” processors feature the most powerful neural processing unit to support AI-enabled computing devices, with 50 TOPS of computing power.

The company also confirms performance surpassing Ryzen 9 8945HS by up to 5 times, as well as the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor.

Additionally, the Ryzen 9 AI HX 370 offers higher performance ranging from 4-73% compared to the Core Ultra 9 185H processor and faster performance ranging from 9-98% compared to Apple’s M3 version in productivity tasks applications. AMD also highlights a 60% performance boost compared to Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon X Elite version.
