Huawei is gearing up to launch the next generation of its Mate series. A new illustration reveals the distinctive front design of the upcoming Mate 70 Pro. The official announcement is expected in the third quarter of this year.
Huawei introduced the Mate 60 series in the Chinese market in August 2023, and now, the tech giant is preparing to release the Mate 70 series.
Huawei expects to hold a conference in August or September this year to unveil the new Mate phones.
Recent leaks on Weibo have shown the front design of the Mate 70 Pro. The illustrative render indicates that the Mate 70 Pro will feature three cutouts similar to the Mate 60 Pro, positioned in the exact location and dimensions.
Huawei first introduced this triple cutout design, which remains exclusive to the company. The design includes Huawei technology that effectively conceals the gaps between the three cutouts, offering a seamless experience akin to the “Smart Island” feature in iPhones.
The Mate 60 Pro came equipped with a 13MP ultra-wide selfie camera, a 3D ToF sensor, and another 3D sensor for facial mapping. The Mate 70 Pro is expected to feature the same front camera setup.
